For reading this term I've been reading Hatchet. Hatchet is about a boy called Brian who was flying in a privite plane to go stay with his father for the summer. His plane ends up crashing because the pilot has a heart attack, and he has to try stay alive on his own with only a hatchet. This is a sketch I did online of Brian. (This is how I imagined him)

Every Friday afternoon we have been sketching a leader that we look up to, after that the teacher would pick the best sketch and blow it up. We then have to cut it into pieces and take a piece each. You color it different colors then join it back up and it looks all colorful. The person my group did was Sir Edmond Hillary.

This is a task that the whole Marama team has been focusing on for almost two weeks. This is my published copy:

Over the past week all the year eight students have been creating a poster on one of the many habits of mind. This is my habit's of mind poster on 'Finding Humor' (You may need to click on it to read the writing.)

Last week we started sketching, this sketch is a 5 minute sketch of my friend, also we are working on a sketch of somebody who is a leader. I'm going to be sketching Laura Langman.
